Taking up most of my time and money, photography has had a renaissance of sorts in my life.
Many years ago, I bought a Canon A1 Film camera and immediately took to it. I loved the freedom and creativity it offered me.
I had to sell the camera for school money and for years, I had no contact with photography.
After I got into the world of computing, I got a Canon G2 digital camera. It was a point and shoot type but it did the trick and gave me the freedom and creativity I had missed since I sold the A1.
I knew I wanted to get back to the SLR style camera, and after a number of years of making my case to my wife, I now own a Nikon D80.
I now carry this camera with me almost everywhere I go, in case the perfect opportunity comes up (it has happened twice before, and I was without a camera).
You can see my work by looking through my Gallery. All of the images were processed with Adobe Lightroom. I also use Photoshop CS3 and Painter for retouching and other work that Lightroom can't do.
I also do semi-pro work on the side. Here is a link to Fifer Photography
